Hi,

Looking for some suggestions for the follwoing journey:

3 Adults (no railcards owned or would be valid).

Keighley - Glasgow on 09/03 arriving early afternoon. Returning anytime on 10/03.

I'd also appreciate advice on me possibly going from Glasgow - Lancaster as early as possible with the other two going back to Keighley.

I've found £126 advance going up and £102 coming back (£84 but a bit late) both via Appleby - very slow coming back with a rail replacement service part way.

That's crazy, £228 for Advance tickets via Appleby? An Anytime Return (SOR) is only £52.50 each, so nearly £70 cheaper for the group!

Not only that, but you can sit in 1st class if you use Virgin Trains (not TPE).

Wow - can't believe I missed that! Thanks - that's not a bad fare. Means I can go for the 1012 from KEI without worrying too much as I can get the 1112 too.
Do you have details of where the Virgin concession is documented? Thanks.

The person returning via Lancaster may wish to excess the return leg only of their to a which is valid via Lancaster. This should cost half the difference, that's £18.75.

If they want to travel in First Class Glasgow - Lancaster, Weekend First is cheaper than the excess to an Anytime Return by that route.
