Hello all,

I was watching this episode of Keeping Up Appearances:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dARpNmDbbfw&feature=related

and wondered where the two filming locations were for the film, does anyone know or recognize them? The last one is supposed to be Middleton (in the episode it is known as that anyway) I haven't got my atlas to hand so can't place where it is, but when in the booking hall, there are 'Centro' labeled posters.

The first station I have no idea where that is, an IC HST rolls in with what looks like a BSO and MK2C in the formation! The HST could be off its IC route and the set marshaled together for filming purposes...

Any help appreciated, I tried googling a few things, but no hints come up..

Cheers,

James.

I certain it's Leamington Spa.

If you pause it at 3'10, you can see the familiar arches of the bridge over the A425 (High St)

It was multiple takes with one take having an HST in the background and the other take having a Mk2 rake in the background (a class 47 is clearly visible briefly at the head of the Mk2s). HST trailers and loco hauled stock arent compatible with each other. The outside and the platforms may not be the same station either, Keeping up appearances used a great variety of locations around the Midlands.

Im sure the station platforms in the episode in quiestion used were Leamington Spa.

**Beaten to it by SWTDriver - damn my double checking!

It took me a while, it was only by doing a correlation between the picture of the bridge at 3'10 & the aerial view of the Leamington Spa station area on multimap & then visualizing it in my mind that the two became one.

We came to the same conclusion via different routes, I compared it with the Trains with Pete Waterman series that had small sections filmed there.
