Right here we go.......
I left the house at 6am for Kings Cross. At Kings Cross we saw 47802 on the blocks with 47832 in Stobart livery on the other end. Then I met my friend.
London Kings Cross-Leeds 91
On the way there, we passed the Stobart Pullman at Brookmans Park. At Doncaster we saw GBRf newbie 66732 parked in the RMT and also 47804+47760 opposite the station. Alongside those i also saw the XC livered coaches and the new LUL TRT.
So then we got off at Leeds and heading to platform 5c, i was hoping that it would be a non-Pacer train. To my relief it was a 156 although people had been waiting outside the train for a couple of minutes. So we then took the
09:47 Carlisle train to Keighley, my goodness it was packed to the maximum
At Keighley we got off the train and brought the tickets

This is what I did on the K&WR
1035 Keighley-Ingrow (West) 1040 D1023
1050 Ingrow (West)-Keighley 1055 31108
1115 Keighley-Oxenhope 1140 37087+31108
1200 Oxenhope-Haworth 1206 37087+31108
1220 Haworth-Oxenhope 1229 D7612
1245 Oxenhope-Haworth 1251 D7612+25059
1305 Haworth-Oxenhope 1313 31108
1330 Oxenhope-Haworth 1336 D6737+31108
1350 Haworth-Oxenhope 1355 D1023
1415 Oxenhope-Haworth 1421 20110+20087
1506 Haworth-Keighley 1525 37087+D6737

Most Hellfire ones listed in Bold
I did see the waxed toys, the monkey and the two dogs on some of the trains
I saw Pip Dunn and some people from other galas
Anyways, after the hellfire run with the Pair of 37s i decided to get back home.

So 1601 Keighley-Leeds on a 333. I must say that it was comfortable and the journey was quite quick [Its better than the 450s]
so I had some time to spare at Leeds station and i took some photos of the local units and then it was time to get on the train.
1705 Leeds-Newark North Gate. There was engineering works between Newark & Grantham so this meant people had to get onboard a bustard at Newark and go along the empty! A1 down to Grantham. At Grantham i was in for a surprise, the train on platform 1 for KX was a HST! vice a booked 91! and even better on the front it was 43119. I did a bit of H/O for some parts of the journey
It was a mega good day.
A nice one to start the day with and a good one to end the day with :)

Bring on Next year's gala <D

Attended Saturday and Sunday (thanks 37402 for accomadation), absoultly brilliant, the two rats were hellfire, 059 has got to be one of the best 25's in pres! Spent Saturday mostly on the 37's although thrash barrier 108 was brake translating, why 037 could not have just stayed pired up I do not know but oh well. Beerex was brilliant, a few brilliant thrashes up the bank on 037, had to have a bellow out from the front coach. Riot as always up the front at the Keighley events but very enjoyable. Sunday was a more relaxed day, turned up for the pair of rats at 1115 and then just generally hoped on and off round the railway avoiding the lawnmower. Farce coming home as there was something on the line between Wakefield and Donny which we hit meaning the back unit had to be ripped there and a nice delay as well. Moves for the weekend as follows:

I thought it was you stood next to me on the bridge at Haworth waiting to phot the 37s coming in.

Unlike some, I cannot be bothered to type out all my moves from Friday and Saturday!

And, i thought it would be solid 158s, as Neville Hill swapped it's 156s with Newton Heath based 158s or something?

Nice trip report, i wish i was able to come to the KWVR, must make the effort next year!

156's arent common at all at Leeds, although they can and do appear every couple of days or so.

Yup, i had an orange t-shirt with a green fleece on it

that was predictable! they should be pick-up only 'til beyond Skipton. The 333s have plenty of room!!
hmm, i thought that it was going to be like this- Leeds-Keighley-Skipton
and then I found it was like this- Leeds-Shipley-Bingley-Keighley-Skipton
I do know some Morecambe services are non-stop between Leeds and Skipton

Thanks, i hope next years one would be as hellfire as this one <D

I did see a couple of 155s there as well along with the 1589xx
Although I was surprised to see TPE 170/3s at Leeds

Why would you be surprised by 170/3'S? they come through every hour!

All Carlisle/Morecambes stop at Shipley, Bingley and Keighley between Skipton, one doesn't stop at Bingley (0819 ex Leeds IIRC).
