K&ESR trials Gaming Carriage during May Half term holidays

This conservatism is what holds this country back! - Surely this is worth a go to see if it can attract more paying customers to the line. If nothing else it has got the railway some free publicity

I am more interested in how they are going to power the machines!
We use Victron Energy Charger/ Invertors on our MK1 trains along with an appropriate battery pack in some cases the original BR type batteries. The Restaurant Car for the Wealden Pulman has a 12KW lithium battery pack which can power the kitchen equipment (we still use Gas for the actual cooking) refrigeration, POS, dishwasher etc. The stock is charged when it is parked up. We have shore supplies available for when the coaches are used statically away from Tenterden.

But the whole point of a heritage railway is to hark back to the past!

More seriously I agree that this would make sense if it did increase revenue, but I can't envisage it attracting many extra customers (as in my earlier post) and it might even discourage some, in that some parents keen to get their children away from computer games and interested in other things might avoid a railway where their child could go straight to a gaming carriage.
