Evening all

After a bit of info on the KŽC stuff, the heritage workings out of Prague

Read somewhere there is a bar car in the formation at times? Anybody know if this is a particular day or specific route?

Also are FIP coupons valid on KŽC or is it a case of buying a ticket anyway.

I’ve given at least 1 day on the Grumpy and stock with an afternoon in Krasna Lipa on the cards, I’d like to do one of the other stock moves but the destinations don’t sound all appealing, open to suggestions of where to go on the other day even if it means doing one of the unit drag diagrams.

Rakovnik is the nicest Grumpy run in my opinion - along a river valley between Beroun and Rakovnik and with some fairly steep climbs before. There's a castle and lovely village at Krivoklat, or it can be done in half a day as a straight out and back trip (changing at Beroun for a regular train on the return).

Details of each train are on the KZC website and (where shown) the bar "car" (IIRC a trestle in the brake) will run daily. The destinations are touristy in giving access to the great outdoors and the odd castle (typical CZ!).
If you do Rakovnik you should be able to go on to the CD museum at Luzna and return direct to Prague.

FIP is CD trains only, as per the coupon/card, clearly not valid. PID tickets are accepted within the relevant zones, a city ticket will cover scoop and run moves.

Usually the bar swaps between the Mikulasovice and Mseno working one Saturday and the other Sunday due to how the ECS moves work.

It is worth noting that KŽC is covered by the Network ticket so depending on what you're doing in Czechia that might be worth considering as a 7-day 1st class ticket is around £90, though as a FIP holder it may not be worthwhile!
