Hi all,

Just to let you know that Arriva XC have released the advance purchase fares for their services From Sunday 11th November, through to 8th December.

I've immediatley seen three good points:

1) The fare structure is currently exactly the same as VXC, with the VT singles, but a very good point is..

2) Their seems to be Virgin Value First C singles available on Manchester to the South West trains, which i've never seen for VT services before, not even on ridiculously houred trains.

3) The VT removal of Virgin Value Fares between 13:00 & 18:00, seems to have been removed, and if this is the case- Allowing me to have a more relaxed morning, I'd be very pleased with Arriva XC, even before they've run a train on XC!

Before the fares were released, I was personally "worried" that Arriva would have one set of fares, and VWC would have another set, meaning that it would be more expensive, but i've been proved wrong. :)

Edit:I've noticed that there's still a number of services during November [after the 11th], which are being shown as being operated as Virgin Trains, but more disturbingly, they are showing as still operating direct Voyagers to/from Crewe-Glasgow via the NW. (I checked on purpose, to see if the system was correctly showing times)

There's also cheap Value Advance singles on many of these wrongly advertised VXC services, which won't be running.

Another Edit: Note to Mods- I've re-posted my original post here, simply because It hasn't been viewed alot at all, whilst in the seperate Fares bit. Feel free to delete one or the other.

Services to NW England and Scotland will continue until the December timetable change when VWC take over the running of the Brum-Glasgow/Edinburgh services and XC has 1 service or so only a day from glasgow via ECML and edinburgh -plymouth via ecml.
