Mine was afternoon too, also thought I'd messed up the tones bit.. especially part 3 when there were only 6 out of 10 sets of tones? Genuinely thought I'd blacked out and missed a few sets or something! o_O

Am I right in thinking there’s two stages after the second assessment: DMI & medical?

They've not specified but I think that's the standard route taken by most. I dread interviews, I'd do assessments all day long if it meant I didn't have to be interviewed :{

I know what you mean! I’ve been jiggling my holidays about so I’m not caught out if I’m successful but it’s hard to know how many to keep just in case!

I passed too. Sat the morning assessment. Found out hours later that I were successful I go in tomorrow for part 2. I can't remember what the salary was though if anyone can help? I currently work for freightliner at the minute as a multi skilled operative

I will indeed, HR women at DB said 280 people applied for the post only 28 made it to first assessment (for South Yorkshire depot) and there are 7 vacancies so pretty decent odds in my opinion

I applied for South Yorkshire and made it to the first assessment, then unfortunatly had to withdraw. So make that 7 posts between 27. Good luck to those of you left.

There's already 2 internals who have nearly passed out and some waiting to start the course, so not sure where the lady has got the 7 vacancies from...unless she knows that the current internals are going mainline!

I think it might be £28,540.

Awaiting confirmation of acceptance from Aslef of a no strings payrise of 2.2%, which would also apply to junior drivers.

That should put any successful applicants on £29,167 + £600 fuel allowance.

It was all computer based all 4 of us on the assessment today thought we had failed because it was a nightmare! The vigilance test is quite easy the square doesn't get dark very often so it's just a case of staying focused... the memory test is very hard the picture is only shown for half a second so just have a guess and make sure to just tick nearly everything even if you don't remember seeing it. And the 2hand test just be fast and try to be as accurate as you can. The joysticks are absolutely ****! The MMI will be done if you pass all 3 of these. Make sure on your pre MMI sheet that you put situations on there where you can elaborate about safety and concentration and achieving things. Can't really say much more everyone is different but they do tell you straight away if you have passed
