Jungfraoch, reservation necessary?

I bought a ticket from Grindenwald to the summit with a interrail pass discount.

My ticket has reservation time for the main gondola (which I intend to use on the way down, using the cog railway on the way up).

Do I have to stick to my reservation time to take the gondola or can I just show up at any time?

Never had to before, but I think compulsory reservations have been introduced this year to cope with high passenger numbers, so it's quite new... not sure.

Probably best to message them info@jungfrau.ch and perhaps tell us how you got on

You actually do not need a reservation despite the message on the website

At the base station of the Jungfrau railway you have priority lines for Reservations but you also have a queue for non-reserved passengers
