Corosion from acidic water in the origanal 1970s jubilee line tunnels has got so bad that they're being 'retunneled'. This video from the BBC explains that they'll be repairing the tunnels throughout several closures spread from this summer to 2015.

Passengers on the Jubilee Line face at least 30 days of disruption, spread over two years, due to repair work to tunnels.
Stations between Finchley Road and Waterloo will be affected by the work on tunnel linings to repair the damage caused by acidic groundwater.
Transport for London said the work is planned for weekends and public holidays.
