A Jubilee line train has just left Neasden depot, heading north through Wembley Park, making the MOST horrific moaning noise. I have just seen a train now come back through south, probably the same one. What would an ECS be doing this late at night?

When you say 'a horrific moaning noise' I presume you are reffering to the normal 3 phase traction motors or as in it had something wrong?

I think they sound quite good personally! :)

Oh no, I quite like them too, this was different it was rolling really slowly and made a noise different to the normal one :P The lights were on on this one, so I wondered if there could be some interesting reason :)

Probably just a bad traction motor. Should be a shagged gearbox or something like shafted inverter/rectifier etc
