Jubilee line this evening 10/11

Not a good evening for the Jubilee line. Service was suspended Stratford to North Greenwich which has now been expanded.

Jubilee Line: No service between Green Park and Stratford and SEVERE DELAYS on the rest of the line while we fix a faulty train at Stratford. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, C2C, DLR, London Overground, Elizabeth Line, Southeastern and Thameslink.

Must be a pretty serious issue at Stratford with such a vast suspension If anyone is in the know?

There was a defective train between West Ham and Stratford, however the Night Tube service and service tomorrow morning was already planned to be closed in connection with the Four Lines Modernisation works (there’s already a thread on that subject). Service would be advertised as suspended over a wider area because there would be fewer trains on the line in order to protect the stock balance for tommorrow and also to ensure the possession can be taken on time.

This caused a serious issue for everyone at the JLS gig at the O2 Arena on Friday, as North Greenwich station was completely shut from around 2230 onwards. Absolutely NO communication from anyone to the literally 10k+ people wedged both outside and inside the station! Took my partner until 0040 just to get to Stratford in the end, and that's someone very familiar with London. Surprising that TFL don't seem to have any contingency plans for such a major single point of failure.

I would have given up and gone on the 108 at this point! Appreciate not everyone has the same level of knowledge and in reality there should have been a plan in place to get things moving but, as front line staff myself, I know exactly what it's like to have no communication from control!

It's unfortunate that no provision was made to reverse Jubilee trains at Canning Town, one station beyond North Greenwich, but across the river at a point where there aren't a lot of other options to do so. This is not the first time it would be advantageous to have Jubilee trains go one stop further on.

The 108 bus is one single decker about every 15 minutes, so not much use for a Tube failure. I do hope TfL didn't suggest an alternative to use the cablecar!
