As per the title really. I distinctly remember there being a web-based journey planner that had route optimisation functionality (e.g. If you had an origin of A, destination of E, and desired stopping points of B, C, and D it would solve the Travelling Salesman problem for you and work out the best order to visit them in.)
I have an inkling that it may have been FastJP, but archive.org isn't backing that up. If anyone can throw me a pointer it would be appreciated! Even if it's just to say it was discontinued due to the processing cost of running such queries on a free (at point of use) journey planner made it no longer viable or something.
