The Caledonian railtour, also with Tornado, has now been cancelled with advice only being given today. Diversions through Carlisle from the ECML are blamed, apparently late notification from Network Rail. Who knew what and when?
News from boness and Kinnel is tornado is setting off to Liverpool Lime st (with the E.C.S. from Carnforth? I presume) after 11pm tonight via carstairs and carlisle via st Helen's and arrive at Liverpool Lime st at 8am approx hope this helps.

No stop at Carnforth according to this - and still no sign of any onward timings from Liverpool. There's a big stop at Preston - presumably any servicing & final preparations will be done there before dropping down into Lime Street. I also see that there's a stop in the St Helens area - I suspect that'll be a water stop, Tornado presumably having been on the rear from Millerhill, to top up before getting to Liverpool.

Interesting - that stop at St Helens appears to have been intended to let an Oxenholme-Lime Street service past, but that train is now behind the ECS with no way past until at least Edge Hill, the ECS got stopped at Roby by an eastbound train, then another Liverpool bound service from the Earlestown direction. It's all a bit busy!
