Joint Line Railcruise, 10/3/79

Bit of a long shot this, but I'm trying to get route information for a Thompson B1 locomotive Society rail tour that I went on many years ago - 10th March, 1979 to be precise. It was named the "Joint Line railcruise" and originated at Marylebone and made its way initially to Manchester. The route detail I am interested in is from Manchester to Birkenhead and then down to Shrewsbury. I've tried 6Bells but the route detail is very scant.
Is there anyone out there who went on the tour 32 years ago!! who has records of the routing?
As I said, a bit of a long shot, but you never know.
