Joining a return journey midway during the return journey. Is it permitted?

OC Domestic has sorted a short trip on the Waverley on Friday 9th Oct, specifically Gravesend to London Tower Pier.

We plan to buy day return tickets from Horsham to Gravesend, having noted that we pass through London Bridge on the way up to town.

Is it possible to join the return train at London Bridge or will we be prevented from entry at the London Bridge gateline?

Just not sure if it's permitted not having done this before.

Unless there's a restriction on break of journey, which is pretty unlikely on that route (or most others), you are perfectly entitled to do that. Which is not to say that the barriers will allow it, so aim for the one(s) that have staff nearby :)

Thanks to you both for confirming that we are OK to join at London Bridge.

I'm getting used to chatting to staff on gate lines as my Senior Railcard seems to stop me passing through unchecked on a regular basis. :)
