John Sullivan, who wrote one of the best-loved British sitcoms, Only Fools and Horses, has died at the age of 64.

I grew up around Only Fools and Horses as my grandparents were big fans. A sad loss and in typical Del Boy style I would like to say:

"No, no not goodbye ..., no just Bonjour!"

The man was a genius. One line in Only Fools and Horses stands out for me when Grandad told DI Slater:
'You've done that much boot lickin' son, you could be going down with Cherry Blossom poisoning'

Another classic, in the very first episode, is when Del says:

no,no,on, Rodney! The French have a word for people like me'

Rodney replies

'Yeah, the English have a couple of good ones too!'

Sad loss to British Comedy. RIP John
