I am an inveterate listener of Radio 4 whilst working and I listen to The Today Programme and to Any Questions, where these two personages have a major role in each programme. Personally, I find both of these have now assumed a position where they see themselves as "the star of the show" and regard either guests or panel members as somewhat immaterial to matters in hand.

Has anyone else been annoyed by the paternalistic and supercilious attitude so often exhibited by these two men ?

Yes. And Dimblebore's big brother is even worse.

You can also add the entire presentational staff of TalkSport to the list, with the exceptions of Stan Collymore and Bob Bubke, who actually know roughly what they're talking about...

Yes indeed. What a pair they are.
While not any fan of the now departed George Entwhistle, I thought Humphries was on an ego trip during that interview. For a (very) short time I even felt sorry for George.

I remember hearing that last word somewhere, but can't quite recall what it means. :D

Personally I like John Humphrys interviews with the Political Liars and Bores, and when you get quality such as during the last few days when he interviewed the Holocaust survivor, Henia Bryer then his presence on the programme is well deserved.

Evan Davis, and Justin Webb are by far liable to interupt interviewees, and seem to be unable control them when they decide to have a slanging match.

Jonathan Dimbleby, I don't listen too. Any Questions is on way too late for me, even on a Friday night.
