Only two months ago..when you get to 6 months that's when you can start to worry. I AM living proof talent pools do work.

I'm not disputing it, just wanting to stress to the poster above they may get back in 2 weeks but to say sit tight, that said things do appear to be kicking up a gear

Congrats guys, hard works over with for now. Just need some patience now, sitting in a pool can be dishearting at times but im only 7 weeks in. People have been waiting longer. We have had some movement and updates via the forum.

At some point we all hopefully be employed with northern and itll all be worth it.

The hard parts done now mate and all of us are in a position others would envy, can't see it being a long wait with it being one of two recruitment hotspots.

Have a few pints over the bank holiday!

Hi,

I am brand new to this forum and am looking at the posts in this thread with interest.

Currently I drive the subway in a major North American city and will be moving over to the Wirral near the end of the summer.

My plan is to apply for trainee driver positions hoping that my subway operator experience will give me a leg up when it comes to the recruiting process. I will be living just outside Liverpool and was wondering if Northern might be recruiting for trainee positions in the later part of next year?

From what I can tell there is some expansion going on within Northern regarding a line between Liverpool and Manchester? Is this correct?

I am moving over to be closer to my daughter. She lives with her mom who is from there.

I am very excited about this and hope I can translate my subway experience into a train driver job over there :)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

Anyone else had an update from HR after their successful conductor conductor assessment. really wanting to know whats happening now. the two week expiry date is friday, so really hoping they tell me by then if i will be on a training course!

Well had the call to confirm my start date which is going to be 14 July for Manch Vic depot. anyone else starting same time? excited now and cannot wait to get into the training.
