Evening all,

I have been to seven final interviews over the past 3 years for NWR, but unfortunately has never bared any fruit, i have been the reserve candidate twice though, mainly through planning roles.
I applied for another job and it was the first time i received an email stating this-

"Your application is being reviewed and a member of our recruitment team will be in contact
with you shortly."

So anyone here with experience or whom has had the same email, does this mean Recruitment will contact me via phone?

Thanks in advance

Hopefully your reply will be a positive one. In my experience of my many applications it's a case of many things. Where you live/Travel time to your depot/station. Experience in many different areas(customer service etc).Who you know /internal promotions etc, etc.

From my own experience of applying to Network Rail they usually send out a standard e-mail when your application is submitted - it usually says the application is with the hiring manager for consideration.

Sadly, I've never got past the sifting stage with Network Rail and I've usually got the dreaded rejection e-mail a week or two later. To give credit to NWR they are normally very swift at letting you know in comparison to the TOCs who can keep you waiting for months.

It is very much a numbers game. As I have commented on other threads - I personally feel (my own opinion by the way!) that NWR are a very hard organisation to get in with.

I do hope you have some success this time round - all the best & keep positive!!!
