When I travelled on the Jacobite about 4-5 years ago, the overwhelming sense seemed to be tourists (many American but the majority Brits) travelling to experience steam haulage in proper vintage carriages over one of the most scenic lines in Scotland. The Harry Potter element seemed to be a passing ‘oh look there’s the viaduct‘ although some were clearly very keen to get The Photo.
