Hi all,

I've just had a look at Doncaster's NRES page for arrivals/departures, and noticed that the 12:00 Edinburgh-Kings Cross has terminated there, at 17:43, some 2 hours 54 minutes late! (25/10/07)

As it lost nearly all of this time between Darlington & York, would I be right in thinking that it broke down earlier this afternoon?

It is booked to be formed of a E91+MK4, unless it's changed very recently. (Very doubtful)

Thanks for any info on why this train was so heavily delayed.

I'm assuming it's been sent to Doncaster works for attention, hence the termination at Doncaster, not York, the station after it developed the delay.

There is a broken down Voyager near York. Might have something to do with it.

I looked right through the "Service Bulletins" on the NRES site, but found nothing at all relating to a Jacked train on the ECML.

That's what I have heard from my friend who is on (I believe) an HST trying to get into York station from the North.

I've just had another look on NRES, and don't undertand why the 12:00 was almost 3 hours late arriving/departing York, yet the 12:05 Edinburgh to Plymouth Voyager (probably a Super Voyager) only left exactly 25 minutes late.

No idea on the cause but it lost 164 minutes between Thirsk and Tollerton Junction and a further 10 minutes between Tollerton and Doncaster. If it was a train fault then it probably went to Neville Hill for attention rather that Doncaster Works. It would have had to run through to Doncaster to get to Leeds anyway (Colton Junction - Neville Hill via Church Fenton is a it too far to coast ) so would have made sense for it to continue in service as there are more services from Doncaster to London.

Looks like it was booked to work 1N13 1820 KGX - NCL on its return, as that is shown as canceled throughout.
