Rather heavy here in the land of Buxtonia.

Anyone else getting any snow?

I'll get some pictures if it starts to settle :D

There's a bit falling in Edinburgh.

It was alternating between bright sunshine and blizzards up here for most of the afternoon.

No snow here, although we were forecasted for some. Weather-gensmith...She's also saying we're due for some on Sunday, but I am most cynical over it. If we get any, it will be next to nothing.

Fuss over nothing I say...

It's reopened :)

As I said on chat, Coatbridge has experienced some lovely variations. Some rather nice weather at times, then the blizzards and hailstorms rule. And trust me, they are bitter!

Buxton is now white over! Snow has started to settle and there's ice everywhere too.

EDIT: Maybe white over was a little bit of an exaggeration ;)

No snow in the south-east, but minor chaos on the WCML as 1G07 hit a tree (or debris from a tree) just north of Bletchley this morning. The Pendolino returned to Wembley Traincare with a broken (north end) windscreen.

Then the lines came down just south of Bletchley on the slow lines.

Trains stopped from leaving northwards from Euston for approx 1 hour.

Oh dear. I'm going to be travelling WCML (SPT - EUS) tomorrow. Am I in for problems?

Some snowy goodness. Melted a little bit since the super snowy blizzard.

I too experienced dreadful wind this morning; seems like much of the rest of the country has had bad wind today as well.

No, I know. It wasn't settling very well at all. But there was alot of it.

I was just excited about any sign of snow :p

It's started to settle though, and apparently we're in for some overnight.

You'll know when you've had it bad when you've got 6' or more of snow in the surrounding area.

And yes, I have seen it like that. Been quite a few years since that time but hey!

Well the so called 'heavy and prolonged snow' came to sleet at best! What a disappointment :( :p
