I never said yorkie didn't have a point here. I agree that fares, when simplified (allegedly) are still along way from being such.
I wish they'd make it all easier so that my head wasn't spinning with restriction codes (travelling via London can just f*** off!).
This would of course present some who benefit, and others would inevitably come off worse. We all know which the media would report. The point I'd tried to make earlier in the thread, whilst not on topic to yorkies original post, was that at least TOCs can be reasonable in not making some tickets representitive of their mileages by rail. Prime example already mentioned and then any fares from the North or East of Newport to Ebbw Vale due to the single curve junction currently in use.
Anyway, Merry Xmas all, don't let me catch you without your reservation (on an Advanve) or railcard in the new year! And did I mention, avoid London like leprecy because it'll cost an arm and a leg and takes a contageous to get through it (Thank you very much, I'm 'ere all week)
