It's all happening at Gravesend Station at the moment....

Today (1st Dec 2016) the new Cycle Hub is being opened.

Reinforcement work on the tunnel at the eastern end of the station is almost complete. Railway Place is about to be resurfaced.

The whole station is currently in the centre of a major re-routing of Gravesend's one way system. On the north side of the station the road will become a dead end to through traffic, whilst becoming two-way for access to/from the car park. On the south side, the station will gain a new drop-off forecourt, disabled parking spaces and taxi rank. The former Rathmore Road car park will be re-built, but will be much smaller.

All that's needed on top of all that is to shoot the pigeons that keep crapping on the station staircases and all will be good!

When people came to stay when I lived in Wembley, no one ever believed me that Wembley Park tube had plastic owls in the rafters
