Issue on the West Coast Main Line?

Heading into Glasgow Central yesterday afternoon and passed a Pendolino between Mount Florida and Crosshill. Was there a problem with the main line? Odd to see such a big train passing through the tight cuttings in that area.

There is a booked 390 that way in the morning for route retention.

Edit: I see actually there were a whole bundle all day.

Related to the engineering work past Motherwell perhaps?

Engineering works over the weekend, all the pendos going via Mount Florida and then back onto main line at Newton and back off again at Uddingston down via Holytown down to Law junction and back on main line from there
