The fast line platforms at Leighton Buzzard are fenced off to stop this from happening, so if hit at the station, what was the kid doing on the fast line platform? He shouldn’t have been there, so was not just a tragic accident, he had to have decided to go onto fenced platform, still very sad.

Fast line platforms are regularly used. There are gates which aren't locked

+1 - pleased it wasn't just me that read it and thought "really ?".....

It's one thing if somebody decides to shin over a fence and go strolling down the line - but to say "well they shouldn't have been on the fast line platform" - it's a station for crying out loud. People wander onto the platforms for a multitude of reasons.

What an awful statement to make, shame on you, consider how lonely, frightened, desperate and scared he must of been and only 14, that, for whatever reason he felt this was his only choice, just reflect on the situation from a different viewpoint, and his poor poor family..................

Or perhaps thanks to misadventure a young person has been killed in terrible circumstances. It might have been a terrible accident or it might have been a terrible incident.
