so past 4 months ive been with Amber Train, passed my PTS, DCCR and (fingers crossed) will pass my TIC on Friday

were then getting passed on to ISS who give us a job if were competent, but im a little dubious as its a 0 hour contract and they seem to be an agency firm that just pass you onto contractors

i suppose ideally i would of preferred to be in a network rail maintenance gang and weve been told if we can find our own place they will try and sort it out, but the only NR job of my skill requires 2 rail based references

and on a side note if theres any NR line managers in the east mids after a hard working blue hat trackman here i am ;)

no one?

passed TIC today and get my PTS card within 2 weeks

Top marks for trying but it seems no East Mids NR managers are reading this! As a driver I don't have any useful contacts but zero hour contracts are just that I'm afraid. The company is under no obligation to offer you work and you are under no obligation to accept... Hope something positive turns up soon!

They are not the big ISS company by the way. Despite calling themself ISS, they are infact Infrasafe Ltd of Blaydon-upon-Tyne.

Of interest on their quite polished website, a friend last week noticed their logos have been quite carefully photoshopped onto the hi-viz jackets, unlike the arm badge on the Coss which is quite poorly photoshopped / slapped on.
