Hello everyone. It's almost that time of year again! This year we have an even bigger network of routes running more frequently across the Isle of Wight linking real ale establishments. We have just short of 100 vintage vehicles operating in service from our bus stations at Newport Quay and Ryde Depot. Fans of the Bristol VR will be pleased to know we have a record 16 operating in service along with a wide variety of other types. Feel free to ask any questions on this thread as we continue the huge task planning the event. Who's coming this year?

Full list of buses operating here : http://iwbeerandbuses.co.uk/buses.php

You can buy your programme online. The programme give you free travel on the Isle of Wight Steam railway between Wootton and Havenstreet, discounted Wightlink & Southern Vectis fares and money off food and drink at the pubs. A further supplement will be available the week before the event which will tell you exactly which bus is operating each journey http://iwbeerandbuses.co.uk/programme.php

I think I'm working that weekend but may look into coming down on the Sunday as it looks to be a good year!

Easily accessible from London via Portsmouth or Southampton. Our buses are timed to meet the morning ferry arrivals at Cowes, Ryde and Yarmouth.

I know the Island well (used to work on the ferries) and have been meaning to get back there for a while now.

Unfortunately, I can't make it this year, but having attended last year (along with a few other forum members), I can say it is an excellent event for both the beer and the buses. There can't be anywhere else where it's possible to ride on 10 different Bristol VRs and visit a similar number of pubs in just one day!
