Island Line Rover

Hi,

I am going to the Isle of Wight tomorrow, and they have a £6 Rover ticket, allowing unlimited travel on Island Line.

Howeve with a Gold Card, an anytime return from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin is £4.05 and allows a break of journey, effectively is this the same as a Rover. Is it one break of journey only or several?

In English we plan to go from Ryde to Shanklin and maybe stop at a few stops on the way and the way back.

A Rover allows you to make unlimited journeys so you could travel from Ryde to Shanklin as many times as you want.

An Anytime Day Return allows you to make one return journey only although you may break and resume your journey as many times as you like.

Multiple BoJ's is permissible on your outward and return leg, but you cannot go back.

Rovers of course allow you to go backwards and forwards to your hearts content.

Thanks, so long as I don't go back on myself, i should be fine? Eg Ryde to Shanklin, then Shanklin to Lake etc. But not Shanklin to Lake and back to Shanklin again etc.

Haha, good point, with 4 of us, thats an £8 saving, half a pint each!
