Is Woking extendable from the edge of Zone 6?

I'm thinking of going to an event in Woking on Saturday 16th November. Need to be there by about 9:30 and return will be around 5pm. Travelling from Milton Keynes Central and using a senior railcard.

I was wondering if I could do my usual trick when going down the SWRail line of a one day travelcard from MKC to zones 1-6 and then buying a zone 6 to Woking extension?

(Is there a list anywhere of which stations are extendable from the edge of zone 6 - it would be very useful?)

My other thought was the MKC-Zone6 travelcard and then a day return from Clapham Junction to Woking.

The forum's ticketing site options include MKC to Zone 1 travelcard and then a zone 1 to Woking ticket so that's another option.

There is a difference in price between an Avanti only or LNR only travelcard from MKC but between 7 and 8 am on a Saturday morning there are a couple of AWC and a couple of LNR fast trains so operator isn't really a concern here.

Thanks for any suggestions/comments.

Thanks - so am I reading this correctly - off peak day return CDR boundary zone 6 to Woking is £10 and I will then get that discounted by my railcard?

£6.65 for an Off Peak Day Return with an appropriate railcard.

From Milton Keyes there are three Travelcards:
Avanti only £20.30
LNR only £16.25
Any Permitted £20.75

The Avanti only Travelcard is a complete waste of time for such a small saving (and really shoudl be withdrawn).
I'd probably go for the LNR only, their trains can get busy but if you get the right service it's only 35 minutes from Milton Keynes to Euston.

Absolutely (also confirmed by Hadders) - I'm doing that today (albeit NSE-discounted not SNR)IMG_20241019_092333.jpg

It's often the cheapest way from MKC/Bletchley to places the other side of London for a day trip, and has the bonus of including bus as well as Tube for crossing London. I'm doing it today too albeit not to Woking!

The TVMs at Waterloo sell BZ tickets, just tap "tickets from another station" and they come up.

Why not use a Super Off-Peak Travelcard at £16.25 (with Railcard)?
