Is this ticket valid?

Hi chaps,

Lets consider this ticket:

It's validity has a huge array of conditions.

Is it valid to depart from Great Malvern at 7am, break journey at Worcester Foregate Street and continue the journey later in the afternoon?

As far as I can see the answer is yes - the restriction appears to be that you cannot arrive at Watford Junction before 10:45.

But at the bottom of the page outside of the restriction text it seems to have something about not being valid from Hereford before 07:19.

Thoughts?

The main restrictions that apply in this case are that you can't take any trains booked to arrive at Paddington before 10:10 (per restriction 2C).

This permits use of any London Midland service; however you may not use the 07:12 FGW service.

This ticket isn't valid into Paddington though so you can never take a train via Paddington - does that really still apply?

It applies to all trains that will later call at Paddington

Pretty much yes - those are the restrictions that booking engines will apply. This is because the text-based (contractual) restriction says that on an off-peak ticket, when travelling via Hereford, you may not use trains that leave Hereford before 06:30. You're not travelling via Hereford, but the restrictions in the booking engines can't be defined that granularly
