Is this British Rail chopping board INSANELY expensive?

I have a saved search set up on ebay for "British Rail" and this popped up today.

Whilst it looks very clever im not sure what a chopping board is worth, £500 seems mad to me!

Would you pay that?

Price being asked is £495.00 isn't it? Having said that, the decimal point is probably in the wrong place for this particular item.

This looks like the sort of bespoke things sold at craft fairs. Underneath is the Sealink version. Even as a craft piece, at that price the seller is trying their luck.

Absolutely - that's modern work, not ex-BR. Given what I've paid for a cheeseboard at a craft fair, I'd say that's about 5 times overpriced.

Looking at the grain it looks like a rare hardwood probably taken from a centuries old tree from a rainforest so l wouldn't buy it for that reason.
