I doubt any money has been made either, at least via the site but that doesn't mean it hasn't, or won't.

In fact, how would we know unless we fell victim ourselves?

Enquired on Facebook about travelling tomorrow (just to make them think on their feet!)

Trouble is though, what offence is being committed? Assuming he has taken no money from anybody, I doubt there would be anything much that could be done. I would have thought the Police and Trading Standards would likely just chuckle, such is the standard of that website!

Nowhere within website is a payware program, or option to pay. Only way of falling victim would be sending a cheque or bank transfer.

There's a Google Wallet button to make payments on the front page - you can buy 'tickets' for £5.

Pretty sure they won't be running any coaches after this further exchange (quoted verbatim):

From: Me

[The booking] would be on 17 November. For our insurance purposes please can you confirm the amount of insurance cover held by LeeLon Travel, and the holder of the company's O Licence?

Dear Charlie,
Thank you for your response. The totol hire cost would £450 with a deposit of £50 to secure your booking for the 17th November 2012. Could you please send me your pickup and drop off locations of ypur planned journey. As for the insurance side of things we are covered by coach brooker under LeeLon travel as we loan the veichles of them with insurancre included.

Also a "testamonial" on their website:

"We had a fabulous day, what a wonderful trip and our driver gave us so much information! This was our first trip to London , but we will definitely be back!" Pam & Terry

How can we have a testimonial when the service doesnt start until 27/11/12? Pam &Terry must have a supernatural power to know what the service will be like.

Scotsman, I have liked one of your comments on the facebook i believe.

I just hope nobody passes money to him, but does google pay thing cover such payments for a service that doesnt exist, much like a credit card does?

You have indeed. Just let me keep digging a wee hole for him, I'm sure we can expose him to the point that the police could even press charges without great difficulty.

Didn't ATOS get into trouble for false testimonials when it launched the new railcard last year?

I use SwiftKey which scans emails, contacts, Tweets and lots more to build a custom dictionary - plus what I write in Tapatalk. It actually has both but I've clearly written Atos more often (ranting about Anne no doubt!).

I wonder if that means they've started making money yet. Might not be, though, considering how cheaply it's possible to advertise.

(For those who don't know, Facebook ads work by the advertiser specifying an amount of money to pay, either per day or per campaign—I believe the minimum is as low as US$1. Obviously the more money you pay the more often your ad is shown to people.)

Appeared on mine today too - I did attempt to report it, but clicking on the 'Report this advert' X gives only 3 options, namely 'Hide this advert', 'Hide all from LeeLon-Travel' or 'About this advert'. :|

That's brilliant  Got to love Facebook!

Surely if this guy was just a dreamer he wouldn't go as far as spending his own money plastering ads all over FB, would he?! This is bizarre indeed!

That's strange; the Facebook page says the first public service from Edingburgh [sic] is on Friday 23rd.

Does anyone else find it strange that most of the "Likes" on LeeLon are from LeeLon?

The most recent message (about "hospitality") on the Events page may be worth noting as well.

But alarm bells MUST start ringing when you see "Create A Free Website With WebStarts.com" at the bottom and - again - there's not even an attempt to register a web domain for peanuts.

In fact, if someone is using multiple site creation tools (all free) then that sets even more alarm bells ringing.

MY HEAD! ALL I CAN HEAR IS RINGING!!
