My troubles with BVE4 and Vista are detailed elsewhere on this board. Eventually, I reloaded XP in a dual-boot configuration. Now I can open and (start to) run the Uchibo line. However the overall effect is very wavery with platform uprights swaying in the breeze and open grassland resembling a green ocean! I am about to start trying various drivers in an attempt to overcome this.
But there is now another problem. As I slow to stop at the second station on the Uchibo line, I notice graphics becoming quite jumpy with a fast stop/start effect. After departing this station graphics seem to pause two or three times a second, frame rate has dropped below 5, and it is on the verge of a complete hang, then shuts down with the blue scree advising the "culprit" is nv_disp_dl_...PAGE FAULT IN NON-PAGED AREA. I cannot find an error report. Do you learned folk think this is a separate prob to the wavery graphics I explained earlier? Or could an older driver (which I have read is the way to go) also fix this?
