Is there going to be a UK train ticket redesign?

Most of those stations are surely those ones which see fairly low usage numbers, though? When their help-points are replaced (and this is perhaps likely to be reasonably soon, looking at their various poor conditions), I suppose they may well get the new ones with built-in information displays.

Plenty of stations in this country don't even have a help point!

Most tickets I get on buses (the kind printed on thermal till-rolls) are considerably smaller than credit-card size.

The ones Uno issue on their new machines are almost square.. I wonder how the anti-fraud paper works?

Probably has something embedded in it that shows up when scanned maybe? Have a look to see if theres anywater markig on it either under a really bright light or UV

It can't surely be the fact that it's thermal paper, as any half decent crook would know that and not just print on plain white paper...?

I'll try and heat it up and see what it does! (Edit: Bloody hell, how hot do you need to get the paper? Nothing happening with a hair dryer or light bulb!)

Try heating it in a frying pan (no oil, obviously :P).

They dont really work in the same way as a lighter or a match though

Not really. I live in Ricky and there is no info screens. Also harrow and moor park are nightmares cos they have multiple platforms and no info screens (well harrow has that useless light board).

In Northampton they seal weekly and longer bus tickets into a silly little wallet thing.

TrentBarton and in Hertfordshire they do that with day tickets.

Uno used to do that (laminate) with the old style tickets, but I am not sure what they do with these. I don't use the buses regularly enough to see anyone use one, or buy one.
