Just come south on 1P20, which is fast Northallerton to York, yet it went onto the up slow and lost 15 minutes by the time it got to York. Nothing overtook it on the fast line

Maybe some sort of infrastructure / points failure as this XC service was also delayed in front of you.

broken rail at Y392 Signal on the 10ft rail left hand side of travel on the UP Fast.

Therefore the UP Fast line would remain blocked until further notice with up services diverted via the UP Slow line between Longlands junction and Tollerton.

XC 1V54 examined line due to TCF holding Y 396 at danger and reported a slight dip at Y 392. Later inspected by MOM who found above
