Here's another UK example for you. Hay-on-Wye, the "book town" on the Welsh border.
Most of the town was situated in the old county of Brecknockshire in Wales, whereas the station itself was in England.

Hay-on Wye was a far outpost of the Midland Railway, the "Hereford Hay & Brecon.

How about Berwick-upon-Tweed? Berwick is currently in England but serves the Scottish county of Berwickshire.

Coldstream is in Scotland, but Coldstream station was actually at Cornhill across the Tweed in England.

Interesting thing about Knighton - bus pass holders who live on the welsh side of the border get free rail travel to Shrewsbury in winter even though their entire journey will be in England. Those who live on the English side do not.....
