43007 was hellfire! Apparently it's known to be the best PC ever built
Whilst I don't disagree with 43007 being a good performer, I would not say it is described as the best PC ever built. That much is said about every new PC that hits the market...:lol
On a serious note, a power car is only as good as two things:
1) The engine in it
2) The driver
Friday's 9S66 was rather rateable. 28 minutes late from Cheltenham and the driver was a good 'un. He knew how to drive a HST properly, I'll give him that. But would I describe it as 'hellfire'? Well, yes, in a word. But would I say 43007 is 'the best PC ever built'? Hell no. As I say, it depends on the driver and the engine mostly. On that basis, I could have 007 tomorrow with a slow driver and it would be an awful experience. On the same basis, I could have 43108 with an excellent driver and I could call it 'hellfire' and describe it as the best power car ever built.
I do, however, agree that the word is incredibly over-used these days. How a 455 or similar can be called 'hellfire' I just don't know.
