Split off from thread about demise of Arrow Taxis.Is there any fundamental difference between DRT and traditional council ‘dial-a-ride’ services that have existed in rural areas for decades? It has always seemed to me that dial-a-ride is viewed as a commendable community service with no expectation to be commercial or even efficient; but DRT, doing the same job, is quickly written off as outlandish waste.
