Apparently the likelihood of D1015 working its ECML charter is declining by the minute as it is still at Eastleigh works. From what I have heard, that empty oil train has broken it badly and it may not work the charter much to mine and your disappointment.

Does anyone have any information or am I talking absolute trash?

I'm sure Pegasus on here can shed a lot more light than I can. But I remember reading it had a cracked cylinder head but it should be fine for the tour to Scarborough.

On a train...somewhere!
Confirmed following an email to the ITG. Repairs to a cracked cylinder head on piston 8 of "A" engine have been completed and the 'Western' is expected to work next weekend...

Im sure the DTG see problems such as this as well nothing more than a Bump in the road considering how there managing to keep a stupidly Non standard machine on the mainline.
Just about nothing shares parts with a class 52 except one or two BR parts but the DTG do have MTU if any major failures occur considering they formally were Maybach ..........Shock horror boys and girls.
