Ah well after David Laws that another LD out of the Cabinet.

With all due respect to his missus one can see why he "went over the side" - mind you a case of out of the frying pan into the fire looking at his mistress.

The Guys a millionaire why didn't he make his indiscretions worthwhile ? theres that little LD Jo Swinson - he could have kept it in the family:p

If he is found not guilty then he will be back in a 'key government position'. If he's found guilty then his political career will be finished.

Not sure that the case is going anywhere. From the sounds of it (without having seen any evidence, of course) it's just his word against his ex-wife's. Habeas corpus.

<EDIT> Which is actually the wrong term, I meant whatever the Latin expression is for 'innocent until proven guilty'.

Evidently a Tory plot to get all the Lib Dems out of the cabinet and replace them with Tories :p

I thought it was quite a good day in the news today, with both the odious Chris Huhne and repulsive John Terry brought down a peg or seven.

David Milliband , Alsitair Darling and Tony Blair ?

 that would be interesting to say the least. Meanwhile scientists have announced that Nick Clegg's spine is proving even more elusive than the Higgs boson

Err no, as part of the coalition agreement he'll have to be replaced by a Lib Dem.

Huhne has rather shot himself in the foot with this one. Whether found guilty or not its going to be a difficult affair to shake from the memory and he's significantly reduced his chances of taking over the party leadership that he's sought on previous occasions.

If he is found guilty it would be interesting to see a by-election in Huhne's constituency - the ConDems vs the ConDems
