Is Brighton to Reading possible using a ENCT Pass and back a couple of days later?

I'm not sure if it's the quickest, but off the top of my head one fairly sensible option on routes that run at least hourly could be:-

• Brighton to Horsham (17, Stagecoach, ~1h20)
• Horsham to Guildford (63, Arriva, ~1h15)
• Guildford to Camberley (34/35, Arriva, ~1h30)
• Camberley to Bracknell (194, Thames Valley, ~55min)
• Bracknell to Reading (4/X4, Reading Buses, ~1hr)

The 34/35 run a combined three per hour Mon-Fri (half-hourly Saturdays until next month's increase to match weekdays after Stagecoach take over), the 194 is half-hourly Mon-Sat, and the 4/X4 offer four buses per hour Mon-Sat.

63 1151 Horsham Bus Station to Guildford Bus Station 1312 (Arriva)
Kite 1330 Guildford Bus Station to Aldershot Bus Station 1410 (Stagecoach)
1 1420 Aldershot Bus Station to Camberley Pembroke Broadway 1508 (Stagecoach)
194 1535 Camberley Pembroke Broadway to Bracknell Bus Station 1636 (Courtney)
4 1715 Bracknell Bus Station to Reading Town Centre 1834 (Reading Buses)

Some adjustment of the change points may make it a bit more efficient. The connection in Horsham is a bit awkward as the Brighton bus aims for the station and the Guildford bus goes from the bus station.

(One really annoying thing about using Traveline to plan bus journeys between Guildford and Reading is that it classifies the rail air link coaches as buses which they clearly aren't.)

The 17 continues to Horsham Bus Station. Several routes take in a bit of a loop of the town, due to the one way nature of the town centre. The run along Hurst Road and North Parade also allows a stop at the hospital.

Yes, unfortunately you are about 35 years too late for the erstwhile X62 coach that ran in the early 1980s between Reading and Brighton.

And to think that people get worked up about Transdev's upbeat tweetings being disingenuous
