An outing has been arranged to travel to Waterford to visit the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway on Saturday 13th September 2025.
The outing will travel from Dublin Heuston to Waterford via Kilkenny on Iarnród Éireann service train and between Waterford & Kilmeaden via private coach. Our return to Dublin will be via the scenic Waterford and Limerick railway to Limerick Jct. and then via the Cork-Dublin mainline to Dublin Heuston.
Our trip along the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway will include the rarely used section between Dan Donovon Tunnel & Bilberry, close to the site of the former Waterford South Station. Photographic stops have also been requested for Bilberry and Mount Congreve Platforms.
