Delegates from the Northwest will be travelling by train. The train will leave Derry and travel through Dublin to Limerick. It will be direct with no changing in Dublin.No idea what traction will be utilised yet. Accomodation for over 400 athletes and family members.

Well that little bit of info aside I fail to see how they will get a direct train as no rolling stock is currently permitted to operate over that entire route.
I take it you're referring to the Paralympics? Glad to see ignorance and bigotry are alive and kicking in your world. I'd bet some of the athletes are still better than me at their chosen discipline, and I'm 'normal' in your book.
Hahaha, Oops, award of the night goes to me then, but it's down to my lack of awareness, and I'll readily hold my hand up. I'm amazed with all the PC junkies everywhere that they've settled on this name though. I do unreservedly apologise for my misinterpretation of the thread though. It seems my rank in the Army of Incompetence has just increased to Major Misunderstanding!

I think 'special needs' is a fair term - a cousin of mine has a (relatively minor) impairment, but is classed as special needs. It's rather better in any case that the 'retard' or 'spazz' labels that some utter idiots use within earshot.

My daughter will be competing in the special olympics in Limerick. We have been told that a train will operate specially from Derry to Limerick. No changing will be involved and no messing about with hauling luggage at a change over. It is a special arrangement for the occasion.
