Invite to Recruitment Event

I have applied for a CSA role at Wilmslow station and received an email to invite me to a recruitment event on Wednesday the 30th October. I emailed straight back to confirm my attendance, however I am concerned as at the bottom of the email it stated to confirm if I was attending no later than the 23rd, only the email didn't come through to me until the early hours of the 25th. I noted my concerns on my reply email and also called the recruitment team and left a voicemail to which nobody replied. I am a little worried, I really want to attend this recruitment day but don't want to turn up only for them to tell me I'm not down as attending. Anyone been in a similar situation?? Any advice greatly appreciated, of course I will try ringing again first thing Monday. Thanks

Virgin don't have any staff at Wilmslow. Wilmslow us run by Northern.

Or do you mean the recruitment event is being held in Wilmslow?

The vacancy I applied for was customer service assistant - Wilmslow. Now i'm really confused. The recruitment event is at Crewe.

Virgin did advertise positions for Wilmslow. Don't know what they are up to.

Strange. Unless they're going to put extra staff on there to assist customers. It gets massive Virgin footfall.

Virgin do have staff at a lot of stations they don't run - sometimes it's just a token presence to provide assistance like at Chester (though the VT station staff there are Crewe based and cover Chester as part of their roster) or Tamworth and sometimes at places like Milton Keynes they do the dispatching for Virgin services. That said, I sign Wilmslow and I've never seen any VT staff there, but maybe they are planning on adding them there too.

Well I got through to them eventually and i'm definately confirmed as attending. Really nervous though i've applied several times before and never even got to the recruitment event so i don't want to mess this up. Fingers Crossed!

Hi there of what I know they are trialling a few members of staff in the First Class Lounge at Wilmslow to increase the levels of Virgin Trains presence there

I didn't think they had a First Class Lounge at Wilmslow or are they planning on adding one do you know? Thanks.
