I've never bashed the section of line between Perth and Dundee before. I've got a Markinch-Inverness off-peak return routed Aviemore that I was hoping to use the rtn portion of tomorrow (Sunday). I've had a look at the routing guide (maps IE & KI) and they seem to suggest, using my very limited knowledge, that I can't. Is this correct?
Ta in advance.

Nice one, thanks for that!
Oh well, maybe some other day!
Anyone got any suggestions for a ticket that'll let me cover the line, perhaps Markinch-Invergowrie?

Getting Dundee-Perth to be on any route starting at Markinch it isn't easy as you've got a direct route to both, and it's way more than three miles longer to go the 'long' way around. I think you'll have to buy a Dundee - Perth ticket and use it in combination with another ticket that you hold.

I think that an Inverness-Cupar, or Inverness-Leuchars, return would do what you want, plus a Ladybank-Markinch return if you actually want to cover the tracks between Ladybank and Markinch.
