Does anyone know what this depot does and how many staff?
How detailed an answer do you want? The simple answer is they maintain and service the 158s based there along with ad hoc repairs and exams to the rest of the diesel fleets that visit Inverness. If you want a more detailed answer you'll probably need to ask someone that works there.

They also maintain the mk3 coaches (but not power cars) for scotrail’s HSTs.

They fuel and detank sets as required (only Scotrail and the sleeper use it regularly but I believe it’s open for any company that pays).

Aside from that the only notable things are the existence of a class 08 for shunting the mk3 coaches, and the complete lack of depot drivers (mostly due to the main line running through the middle of the depot).

They used to the East Coast Highland Chieftain set but it seems not anymore. I'm surprised it has enough fuel when its sent on one of the ECML diversions both ways as well as on diesel north of Stirling.
