I was at the NRM today and I happened upon a poster which detailed where the UK's Steam Locomotives were built.

Glasgow with 26,500 was the highest and Inverness at 40 the lowest.

Have any of the Inverness engines survived ?

Are we talking Highland Railway?

The 'Jones Goods' first British 4-6-0 survives, not sure where though.

Indeed it was by Sharp stewart and co. Glasgow, later NB works. I did wonder if Ben Alder would have been a candidate (set aside for preservation in 1953, but finally chopped in 66/67)...very sad.
However the 'Small Bens' were built in 3 batches, the first in Glasgow, the second batch in Lochgorm works, Inverness...however Ben alder was in the first batch, so the answer is no. Lochgorm is a listed building but unsure if it still has a railway use as a stock shed!
