Anyway to avoid a 158 on a trip to Inverness, at least for part of the journey with no significant detour?

Travelling from Broughty Ferry in the near future, I had it in my mind that HST’s went to Inverness but not sure from where? Or perhaps I’m mistaken? Or a 170??
