Invergowrie - Single door despite platform being long enough

As per Invergowrie's platform length, it can accommodate up to 3 x 23m carriages per platform (basically a single 170).

However, I've noticed since the HSTs came in (and the last timetable change of late) that guards have been opening single door on all traction when calling nowadays, despite 170s and 158s being long enough for the whole platform on both up and down lines.

Unless I'm missing something, does anybody know why this has recently become the case?

Does that mean when HSTs go, they revert to using full platform, or do these lose grandfather rights to remainder of platform so can't just be reused.

I fear a daft situation where rest of platform cannot get reinstated unless it gets upgraded to latest standards. Anyone know ?

Who knows,not much moves quick on scotrail at least seems no one wants to put their name on any changes incase they go tits up.
